Advantages: Good graphics, good gameplay, in-depth sim, brilliant re-playability
Disadvantages: For some this will be too much depth for a sim but stick to it and you will win the battle
In Restaurant Empire you have the chance to play as the owner of your own restaurant and carry out all of the real things that would be done in real life in order to make any restaurant a success.
At the start you get your building and have to start outfitting the building in all you need to make it a successful restaurant (kitchen appliances, lighting, seating, tables, toilet ares, welcome desks, artwork, flooring, etc) which in most sim games would be fairly easy but in this game you have to think ahead and ensure that your restaurant is well designed for both diners and staff (ensure the kitchen is big enough to cope, ensure there is enough room for waiting staff to take food to tables without having to knock over others, etc).
So you now have a restaurant? Well no...you now will have to hire your staff including waiting staff and welcome staff but the challenge starts when you have to get your chef/chefs as you need to check what they specialise in, how much salary they take and figure how many you need (or how many your kitchen can handle). Once you have all of this in place it is just the small matter of developing your menu by deciding on the dishes you want on this and how much you will charge. Throughout the game your diners will give you suggestions of what to improve whether it be food improvements, design improvements, etc.
This game is a very in-depth sim which you will need to stick to but if you do then you will have the joys of having a successful restaurant.
Summary: A great game...great price and a game that you won't ditch after a couple of plays
