A desolate world populated with fiendish puzzles (Riven (PC))
Member Name: moongod
Advantages: Well designed Disadvantages: It'll eat your life and make you pop blood vessels in your eyes
The creepiest thing about Riven and its predecessor, Myst, is that the world is uninhabited. You half expect a ghoulie to jump out at you Doom-style. The slightest movements (butterflies in the distance) cause you to turn and look at an otherwise empty path. The puzzles are fiendish (even more so than Myst) and the environment strangely beautiful in an austere way. Summary: |
