There are around twenty tracks, set on four different worlds, but you have to complete the tournament mode to get the last four. The tracks are all detailed, with cunning shortcuts and devious turns. The whole game has a very arcade feel to it, complimented by its good graphics. I have a 700mhz with 128mb RAM and a 16mb graphics card, and it runs faultlessly, but it should work just as well on lower spec PCs. There are ...more

Premium Review Rollcage (PC): keep rollin' (350 words)

Basically this game is your average futuristic driving game – you know the story, year 2200 something, dare devil racing becomes a popular sport. That’s where the similarities end. The main draw point of rollcage is that you can drive anywhere, and I mean anywhere – ceilings, walls, forests, anywhere. This is very handy for overtaking people. The cars drive at insane speeds, so don’t blink! Also the cars are indestructible, so you can punish them as much as you like, and just keep on going. There are a wide variety of funky weapons, from ice guns and drilling missiles to an stupidly large missile that homes in on whoever is in first place. Another ...  Read the complete review

A great feature of this game is that instead of racing on flat land, you can drive up walls and even ...  Read the complete review

As racing games go, there’s not a lot that hasn’t been done before. Rollcage put a unique slant on the genre when it was launched a couple of years ago. Instead of being restricted to racing only on the flat, you can also drive up walls, and even on the ceilings of tunnels if you are going fast enough. The cars themselves are contained entirely within the space of the 4 wheels, meaning if you crash, it doesn’t matter whether your car is upside-down or not. As is typical for arcade style racing games, there is a plethora of pick-ups, from speed boosts to all manner of weird weaponry. One problem I found with this game is that it ...  Read the complete review
