I absolutely love simulation games. I fell in love with them when i was just 12 when we 1st got our PC. Now 15 years on i still love them. I started with 'Theme Park' and shortly moved on to 'Theme Hospital'. By the time the 1st Roller Coaster Tycoon came out i was well and truly hooked. I was really excited when the new 'Roller Coaster Tycoon 2' was launched and bought it straight away. I was, however, slightly disappointed.

Unfortunately most of the original RollerCoaster Tycoon rides and attractions have been carried over to the sequel with few additions or slight alterations. It was really disappointing to see so few changes. If you already own the original game and its expansions you will recognize everything but some Six Flags roller coaster designs like Colossus and Psyclone, a few new flat rides such as Magic Carpet and Soap Box Derby Racers, and some new amenities like ATM kiosks and theme toilets.

It is a really shame that they didnt take this game further but saying that i still found it really enjoyable to play and the much unchanged gameplay made it easy to pick up and play straight away.

I would recommend this game to anyone who likes sim games and especially to those who havent played the original Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Summary: Worth buying especially if you havent played RCT1
