Whether you have played rollercoaster tycoon 1 or you have bought the second one first then you’ll be amazed at the new challenges that await you. Like the first one your main objective is to build and maintain a successful theme park. This game combines building rollercoaster’s and keeping them running. The game itself has not changed an awful lot from the first but as any rollercoaster tycoon fan will know it is still as addictive as ever.

New rides have been added to the new game and rollercoaster’s such as the multi dimension rollercoaster and the inverted wild mouse roller coaster have added new excitement to the game. The main difference has to be the new scenery options and the new way of building rollercoaster’s indoors. This new scenery gives the player a new attraction to their park.

Another new feature is the ability to have much bigger parks and many of the parks have very big boundaries. This gives the player a great opportunity to expand their park into new depths. If you are not excited by the new rides or the amazing scenery then there are new scenarios to get your teeth into.

In this new version of rollercoaster tycoon infrogames has teamed up with the gigantic six flags theme park company in which you are able to run and build your own six flags parks in the game. Also many of the rides on this game are actual rides that exist in the world today. Rides such as Deja Vu and Medusa are among these.

Another new feature to this game is the rollercoaster designer feature which gives you the opportunity to build rollercoaster’s and test them without the hassles off the usual game play getting in your way. This feature gives the opportunity to build rollercoaster’s you thought were not possible. Have you ever wanted to make your own scenario for another person to play well now you can because a new feature called scenario builder lets you achieve this but beware this is not an easy f
unction to use and rollercoaster tycoon experience may be needed before attempting this one.

This new game has been given a lot of criticism saying that it is not really a new game but rather another add on. Where as many may agree with this I certainly disagree and this is a great new game with many new rides and functions, not to mention the new scenarios which are challenging at times.

This is a great game and is very addictive. If you’re looking for a game that needs a lot of time to play this is the game for you. This game gives you hours of fun and although at times can be challenging is an absolute pleasure to play. Chris sawyer should be proud of this game as many of his rollercoaster tycoon fans couldn’t wait to go out and buy this game when it was released.

My conclusion to this game is that it is a very fun and challenging game to play and anyone can play this game even if they have not played the first rollercoaster tycoon game.
