There is a saying that goes "Absence make the heart grow fonder." Perhaps that's what EA Sports was thinking when they took five years to finish the follow-up Rugby World Cup 95. I'm happy to report to rugby fans around the world (or at least in Europe) that EA has finally released Rugby 2001 for your enjoyment. I am not quite so happy about reporting on the game itself. In my preview of the game last month, I was overjoyed at the prospect of enjoying a rugby game again, as my PC has outstripped the version from yesteryear.
