... "rugby light". It has the limited depth of EA's Road to the World Cup '98 soccer extravaganza from the FIFA series. Like that game, Rigby 2001 is really just about the tournament and not much else. Why don't I get into the game and let you decide? The positives are quite evident. It installs without much of a hitch. It does appear to stall when the install loader reaches 99%. But, after a few moments, it continues and the install process officially begins. There is a saying that goes "Absence make the heart grow fonder." Perhaps that's what EA Sports was thinking when they took five years to finish the follow-up Rugby World Cup 95. I'm happy to report to rugby fans around the world (or at least in Europe) that EA has finally released Rugby 2001 for your enjoyment. I am not quite so happy about reporting on the game itself. In my preview of the game last month, I was overjoyed at the prospect of enjoying a rugby game again, as my PC has outstripped the version from yesteryear.
