Advantages: 20 teams, Very Realistic, Many Camera Views

Disadvantages: Frustrating at times

I brought Rugby 2001 two weeks ago and I think this is the best Rugby game out yet! It has all the major teams that compete in the World Cup and more! Unfortunately the game doesn’t have league team but it really doesn’t matter as the game play just blows you away! Each team have there strengths and the weaknesses and obviously (if you follow Rugby) the New Zealanders just kick butt! But the game is so realistic, teams like Australia and South Africa stand up to them and teams like Fiji and Namibia just don’t have a chance.

There are 20 teams in the game that compete in the world cup and every single player who played in the last world cup is in it! So that means Jonah Lumo is in it and he really does kick butt! Also the game is so realistic as in their physical body! Like Johnny Wilkinson is really small compared to Jonah Lumo!

There are many modes on Rugby 2001 featuring ‘World Cup’ and ‘Six Nations’ and the mighty ‘Tri Nations’, where Australia, South Africa and New Zealand go head to head in a tournament! You also have the little tournaments like ‘Bledisloe Cup’ (New Zealand and Australia) and the ‘Calcutta Cup’ (England and Scotland). As always there is the friendly game and the training where you can get your skills to perfection!

You can have 1 up to 4 players in this game and that doesn’t mean you have to play on the Internet! That’s only if you a control pad though! The game play is realistic as well. Like you can only pass it a certain distance and you can kick it a certain distance. Also if a small person gets tackled hard, he’s more likely to drop it than a bigger person, and a back can kick further than a forward can! There is also over 25 real life stadiums in which you can play in. The detail of the stadiums look exactly like the real life stadiums! You can play in the stadiums known would wide such as twickinem!

> The game has a certificate of 3+ so for those who like games with blood in, sorry and you can't have fights either like in the hockey games! But that doesn't matter as the gameplay just takes your mind off that even though many people would prefere the game to have blood in it, as it would make the game more realistic!

I would say this game is a must for all you rugby fans. It is recommended you have:

Game supports a 8MB 3D Accelerator Card and it supports a controller, which is good for the multiplayer!
