Visually, Sacrifice excels and delights, standing out clearly from the crowd - although only if you have the hardware to match. You can run it at what the game describes as "insane" detail at 1024x768 and really appreciate the extra detail and clarity that the resolution and 32-bit texturing brings. You can even do this as we did on a PIII 600 with 64Mb Voodoo5 5500 and hope to play the game - until combat starts, that is, at which point the frame rate tanks out and forces more realistic settings. Where to start, well if you have seen any screenshots you will not have failed to notice the INCREDIBLE graphics, the levels are simply HUGE (with a double capital H) there is absoultely no-where you cannot go in the levels. Before I get carried away and start talking about units, I'll tell you about the background. The game is set in the form of a story, you start while the earth is blowing up and then tell a blind guy how you got here. The brilliance is that you can do one god's level one and do another's level two and so on. The way the level selction works is like this, there are five gods, Charnel the god of death, Persehone, the ... Read the complete review
