Advantages: Typical Lucasarts humour, completely original idea, fabolously engineered puzzles

This game is one of Lucasarts best! Lucasarts made it's name in the computer game from either star wars based games, space battle games, or my personal favourites, the brilliant point-and-click games! Sam and Max is a classic, and will always be.
Sam and Max isnt your run-of-the-mill point-and-click adventure, due to it magnificant Lucasarts creativity and humour. It matches the Monkey Island series in sheer brilliance and humour, and Day of the Tenetacle in it's abscureness!
Throughout the game, the comical humour of the two main character's adventures will have you in tears of laughter. It is the only game that i know of, to have made me laugh out loud!
The graphics may seem out of date by todays standard, but this games nearly 10 years old now, and the graphics still seem suited to the game. I still think the graphics are fantastic, and the cartoony style works brilliantly.
I think is sound is superb, and voice acting for the characters, is brilliant and extremely funny! At one point an original and groovy song just cracks you up!
The story follows the adventures of detectives Sam, a witty, no-nonsense dog, and Max, a crazy, dumb rabbit-type thing! They get put onto a case to find the missing sasquatch from the local freak-circus. also, star attraction in the form ofa giraffe-necked woman that sings country and western has also gone missing..... could there possibly be a connection?!
A superb game all round, that takes our hero's bungee-jumping off mount rushmore, through a tunnel of love, and to a party that's especially for bigfeet!
Another great addition to the game, is it's sub-games. these include driving down "route 99", a car version of battleships, a colouring book, and a dressing up game that allows you to put clothes onto our lovable hero's!
To round it up, Sam and Max:Hit the road is a great game, that inspired the funny spin-off cartoon
of the same name. Game-wise it is an absolute must for point-and-click and Lucasart lovers, and is a great inroductory game for the unexperienced. A Great Game, BUY IT!!
