great mature point and click game (Sanitarium (PC))

Advantages: dark story, hard puzzles and involving plot

Disadvantages: dated badly

To be honest i played this game years ago and have been trying to track it down for ages!me and my brothers played it to death and the storyline is very original and very dark in places, in fact i can think of one paticular puzzle solving event that may cause offence which will turn away a few people, lets just title this the Children of the Korn puzzle, to those who have played it you know what im talking about!
Besides this it a long game with many twist and turns where you have to find out who you are and how you can get back to reality without loosing your mind, graphically this hasnt dated well but with a great story to go though it doesnt really matter, cut scenes are the highlights and really build on the atmosphere of the game, the music also is quite satisfactury and builds the tension up although it will never be on par with Silent Hill which makes a more affective use of sound.
I only discovered this game by accident and never really heard of it until i tried finding out more about it, this was mainly panned by reviewers in mags but i think a lot of them were biased due to the point and click nature of the game, much like broken sword was, but for any fans of this genre you cant go wrong this is a more mature plot then Broken Sword and much much darker, id only play if you are not of a sensitive nature and like dark stuff especially with that puzzle i mentioned.

Summary: great game that deserves a sequel
