... However, do not be fooled, this is one of the most amazing, addictive football games you will ever play. Yes, it is not like real football, but this game is so fun to play. The main feature of the game is the after touch of the shot, which basically mean when you take a shot you can bend the ball in outrageous banana shots. The game is also very fast and end to end and expect high score lines. One of the beauties of the game is that you can actually score with a diving header virtually from the half way line! ...more

Premium Review Sensible Soccer (PC): Golden Oldie (205 words)

For all the old timers who had Amiga, this game was an absolute must have. Thankfully, the game has been made in to a PC format. This game at first view will look like big dots (the players head) running around a very small pitch. With the basic game graphics, there is also a simple control to match it. However, do not be fooled, this is one of the most amazing, addictive football games you will ever play. Yes, it is not like real football, but this game is so fun to play. Premium Review Classic footy game (165 words)

Sensible Soccer is a classic football game from my childhood and one that I truly miss playing. The game is different from other football games you will have played as this is a game which has the camera angle as a birds-eye view. The game is a fast and furious football game which allows great long passing due to the camera angle and gives amazing goals as a real possibility (chipping the goalkeeper with a show from the right edge of the box to go over the keeper into the left side of the net as a prime example). This is not a game in which you will be looking at the most amazing graphics but this game was around at a time when graphics weren't superb but for me that ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sensible Soccer (PC): Top Down Footie (297 words)

Following on from my review of 'Actua Soccer', i've decided to do a series of reviews based on my all-time favourite football games. One such title is 'Sensible Soccer' which is an incredibly addictive gaming experience first released in 1992. Sensible Soccer was played using a top down (birds eye) view, and as such, it was easy to see an overview of the action, making the art of long passing to team-mates across the pitch easy. In the past, the majority of football games had used side-on views, so in that sense, Sensible Soccer was at the time a novel experience. Graphically, the game was very basic - the players were simple bitmaps, whilst the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A football game that grew on you over time. (273 words)

For me Sensible Soccer was one of those football games that at first was so tedious and difficult to control you just felt you were getting nowhere. But as time passed on this game and as more games were played then you suddenly just got used to the little kinks and breaks to make you go from being a loser to a winner at this game. At first all it used to be was me against the computer as there is nothing more humiliating than losing badly in front of friends and family. But I got good at the game and then the challenges were offered and accepted as were the challenges I gave to others. As the games progressed my confidence soared more and more. The ...  Read the complete review
