Making 'improvements' over the previous games in the series as well as adding more humour to the game, The Settlers 3 is a welcome addition to the series, though not my favourite. For anyone who hasn't played any Settlers game before, the basic idea is that you control a group of settlers (big surprise there then), focusing on city building and combat. Introduction ---------------- Settlers 3 is the third instalment of the popular strategy game from Bluesoft. It has sold well over a million copies now and it is clear to see why as I will explain. This is for sure my favorite game around. For a God game it may not have brilliantly advanced battle techniques or vivid graphics when it comes to battle, but games wise I love it. People may find the game a bit slow paced, because before you can even think of building a large and prosperous army you need to make sure you create a wealthy and civilised population. Dooyooers, My addiction to The Settlers series, started when I played The Settlers on my mates Amiga, sad I know, but at the time, the amiga was at the cutting edge of the computer revolution.
