The Sid Meier's Civilization series is renown for being one of the best sims out there. I couldn't agree more. I must warn you, this game is highly addictive and will more than likely give you many sleepless nights of fun-loaded civ orgies. Aside from this, the game looks great. You can run it on any mid range graphics card with ease and still get away with great fps. You may have problems if you running anything below a gig of ram, and a 6500gt nvidia graphics card. In terms of gameplay this game goes very indepth into micro-management and there are no actual real time battles as such, unlike that of other strategy sims such as the total war ... Hmm, we seem to have the wrong picture here, don't we? That picture is of Rail Simulator, not Civ IV. Ah well, ignore the pic, on with the review! I've been playing Civ IV since the first version came out on the Amiga when I was just an ickle teenager still. I remember that my mum tried to discourage me from buying it, on the grounds that it was a strategy war game and not the kind of game girls liked at all. I'm so very glad I never listened. Ah, those memories of the first halycon days of Civ, frantically swapping between eight floppy discs so you could have a meeting with some other world leader... A few years later, they've gone ...
