Advantages: New City Styles , Great new Landmarks
Disadvantages: Can get repeatative
So, about two months ago, I hurried into Electronics Boutique, clutching my hard earned wages in the hunt for some new entertainment. Having bought all of the Sims series, I looked for something new, and Sim City 3000: Uk Edition caught my eye. It was Maxis, it spawned the little people I love to control and I played a really old version of it once on my Amiga 500+ as a kid. I had to have it. I got home and installed with no trouble at all, although the electrnic manual wasn't that helpful....I couldn't flick through it while I was playing but nevermind! This game was a far cry from the Sim City I played as child! Gone were the nasty blocky colours (although that could have been the 1MB of memory and the appaling features of my Amiga). This game let me make my own buildings to put into the game, and it let me fill the game with landmarks from around the world. What do you mean Big Ben shouldn't be located between the Eiffel Tower and the Brandenburg Gate?! But, the best feature of this release was that I could have a asian style city or a western style city. I love this feature...the Asian style buildings are just so cute! Of course, if you don't want to build your own city, then you can always use one of the starter towns that Maxis provide, or you could play one of the challenging scenarios, such as the great fire of London or the fall of the Berlin wall. And, of course, there is a wealth of stuff you can download from the internet to put into your game to make it that bit more exciting. So, buy this game! RB
