The game offers extremely detailed environments and units. The graphics are superb. The fully 3D gameplay engine is very complex. The soldiers can run, crawl, smoke cigarettes while they are standing still. There is just so much detail in this game, props to the artists and animators. There is also a varied look. Soldiers: Heroes of World War II was released in 2004, and is still a pretty good game after four years. The past few years have seen no shortage of games based on World War II; but this game was the first in a series of real-time tactics video games based in this era. The gameplay allows you to take control of either English, American, German or Russian soldiers and although it is primarily a strategy game; it doesn't mean you can't take your troops and fight the enemy!
