If you are hardly waiting waiting for the Spore to be released in September do not worry EA games released Spore creature creator, a teaser game, something you absolutely must have.
So this is a pre game giving you an insight on some part of what Spore is all about. It is a game made from creators of Sims a game I am sure you are all familiar of, so there is nothing less to be expected than perfection from this game.
This is a creative and in a way simulation game. You get to design your own creature and set it in a small environment to see how it acts.
So you start up wit a blue mass levitating in the air. Inside that mass you see some bones on which you can click and drag making the basic shape of your creatures body. Options are limitless, you can make a chubby fellow, long elegant stick, a bug like torso, a spiral, wavy torso anything your heart desires. So you have created your torso (having lots of fun with it).
Next step is to give the creature other body parts, you do that by going to your left side menu and click on the body part you want to add (there are whole lot to choose from);
Head: you can choose the basic shape of your creatures head, what kind of jaws it will have, how strong the jaws will be and see other detailed characteristics of your creatures head. Once you have chosen the type that best pleases your wishes, you just drag it and drop it onto the place you want it to be the creatures head (it can be placed anywhere on the body). And thats not all, you can now modify the look of the head by changing the angle, making the head thinner or wider, taller or smaller all with a click and drag.
The eyes (or a similar organ): Another thing you can chose is the eyes (or tentacles or similar things), you have many to chose from, and when your eyes have found the eyes your creature would be most satisfied with you just drag and drop them. If you think your creature would not see as good with only one pair of eyes there is no reason why you should not add a par or two more. You can add as many as you like.
Legs & arms: As goes for all of the above you can choose from many different types and you can moderate them after you apply them. Selecting arms and legs is divided.
Hand and feet are also selectable, you really can go wild with these, will your creature have fingers and toes or will it have hoofs? Again your imagination can be satisfied.
So now you have the basics but you can improve your creature by adding horns, flops, wings, marks and many other outgrowth you want. And modify each and every one of them.
So now you have the shape of your creature, now it is the time to make his skin unique by giving it a colour. You can choose from all the colours there are and even more you can apply a texture to your creature so it has spots, stripes, is half colored and many more.
Here you are, your very own creature, if you log in to the official Spore website you can share your divine creation with others too see.
But what now, your creature is done, is this the end of fun? Guess again. Now that your creature has seen the light of a day you can transfer it into a small living space where you can observe it.
So the creature is now alive and is looking at you from your computer. At the bottom of the screen you will find quite a selection of orders, commands what your creature can do.
And here the fun begins, you can make your creature be nice, angry, flirt, jump, be afraid dance and much more. I guaranty you that when you will try a command you will not be able to stop. The creature is really funny, wait till you see it dance. You have a wide selection of dances so you will have a laugh for a really long time. If you log in to the Spore site you will see they actually have a dancing contest to.
If by an unknown reason you get bored of it or if you just want to bring the fun to the next level there is also an option of sending a few eggs on the world which will send a miniature of your creature to the world and they will start interacting. The little ones are really cute and have a baby animal voice. When you give a command to your original creature the little ones are copying what their "parent" does. Can you imagine how wonderful and cute it looks when you have a few kids around your creature and they are all dancing.
You can also record everything you do, make a film. The camera runs smoothly and you can tape it from all the angles so this is something the little ones could enjoy the most, sharing their creature recording with their friends.
So that would wrap the game up.
The price of this one is really low only 4.99 £ so this is another argument that speaks pro buying this game. The game is for every age.
Summary: A great introduction to the game Spore
