After being a huge fan of the Sims games when I heard about the hype that surrounded the new Spore game, I was immediately intrigued and thought I would investigate! So, I purchased the game and got to playing it, within the first 5 minutes I was hooked. It was literally one of the best games that I'd played in ages, there were unlimited options and creatures for me to create.
There are different levels that you have to work through when playing the game and you can give your creatures different looks and characteristics. This all adds up and ensures that there are thousands of different combinations that you can make. There is also an expansion pack available for the consumer to buy, which increases the number of parts, again.
It's also a great game in the sense that you can play it through once and play in one mode, then play it through again in another one and not get bored with it. It's also possible for the user to start from different periods of the games.

THE CELL STAGE.
This is the first stage that you will encounter on Spore. It's where you begin to grow in the "tidepool" that you start to see how you can expand on your original character design. You have to eat a given amount of microbes to allow your "cell" to grow, which will then result in it laying an egg - this is the way in which you are given a chance to change the way your creature looks.

THE CREATURE STAGE.
Here is where the consumer can grow their creature from a small, cell like creature that was only able to swim to a more intelligant creature. Here you can choose to be a Herbivore or a Carnivore which will give more of an idea as to what your creature's life will be like.

THE TRIBAL STAGE.
Once you've gained your skills in the creature stage, you'll move to the tribal stage where you will use your skills to gain friends/enemies of the same species and then learn to survive. After this your tribe will become a society which leads you to the next stage.

THE CITY STAGE.
This part of the game is very similar to Sim City. It allows you to create your own buildings and modes of transport. You are able to make different choices on what your buildings, cars etc will look like. Then you can either befriend or attack the other cities that form around you.

THE UFO STAGE/THE GALACTIC STAGE.
This is where the user is able to create vehicles that will help them to explore space. Then the Galactic Stage will be the final stage in Spore. It's where you are able to carry out different missions in the space. Some of these include finding if there are other lifeforms out there and finding "specimins" from other planets.

Spore is a great, very addictive game!
