Advantages: Good graphics for an old game, Good sound, and intuitive controls.

Disadvantages: The explosions could be better, the ships could be balanced better.

Hmm, Star trek armada. I suppose an almost classic title nowadays, yet with still enough playability left to entertain you when there's nothing else to do.
For a game released years back, it has decent enough graphics and sound, although the gameplay leaves something to be desired.
The game will draw you into the world of star trek, but the the game isn't really balanced enough.
a few scout ships can easily take out a higher glass starship, and the units are very similiar in capabilities. Although the different races have different graphics design, they all mostly do the same thing, there is very little variation.
The graphics are good for a game like this, but the ship explosions could look better. They just fragment with a cheap explosion picture.
Controlling your ships feels intuitive and your ships are quick to respond, but everything falls back to the game play. The fact that you can just build the cheap scout classes, and send 50 of them in for very little charge, and have them decimate the enemy really leaves you feeling that the developers could of done a bit better.

Summary: A good, classic game that still lives up to modern games. But only just.
