Advantages: the best star wars RTST , not a hard tittle to get.

Disadvantages: scale is of, space combat no fun.

Galactic battlegrounds is actualy just Age of Empires 2 whit diffirent units and skins, not to mention lasers, instead of wood you will be mining carbon rocks and instead of stone you will be mining ore rocks

I will admit it is one of the better strategy games to come out of Star wars it is in no way unique or above average, spaceships and being able to somewhat create space levels might seem like its diffirent from normal Age of Empires 2 but when your starfighters keep hovering on the spot to shoot at targets it gets old pretty quick, half of the units just dont look like they belong either, bright red tips on the tips of the rockets of all the anti-aircraft units, whose Idea was that?

while in Star wars force commander all the men and vehicles where up to scale in Galactic battlegrounds they kept the Age of Empires way of making human size things look like giants compared to vehicles and buildings, while in Age of Empires this was not much of an issue in Star Wars Galactic battlegrounds it looks terrible.

You're better of buying age of empires if you're looking for a strategy game of this style, but if you want a star wars strategy game you dont have many other options.

Summary: better of buying age of empires

This is the worst review I have ever seen. I can't imagine that the person has played this properly.

Firs tly, this game is over 7 years old. Therefore, posting a review in 2009 slating some of it's design flaws (particularly graphical regarding unit size) is a little stupid. Plus the units are different sizes; assault mechs are massive compared to others.

Also, in my opinion this game is miles better than the original AoE II. You have power to consider, shields, air, sea and land units to control, etc ...

Also, with many more units availble your strategies can be much more detailed. Massice upgrade paths are also very useful and the lasndscapes are great to explore.

YES there are some issues with pathfinding and I think that the high-end Jedi / Siths are a little overpower, but everything can be countered by another unit which makes intelligence gathering and strategic thinking a high priority to see what the opposition has.

Therefore , whilst everyone has their own opinion I really think you've missed the point on this game. It's old, but introduces some really interesting gameplay and strategies that I wish modern RTS games could include.

Sorry but some of this really just does not make sense, especially the third paragraph - if you have used a translator that would explain it.
