I believe I'm right in saying that all bar the droids in your party can potentially become Force users, and the droids can still be improved through influence. This influence system adds a new depth to the moral decisions you make in the game. You need to consider not only how a decision will affect your alignment, but also what it will do to your relationship with the active party members. As in the 1st game you ch...more

Crowned Review Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic II - Sith Lords (PC): I said Hey Baby, Take A Walk On The Dark Side... (2257 words)

It is about 4,000 years before the events of the first Star Wars film, and 5 years after the events of the first Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) game. As usual the Jedi, guardians of the galaxy and all that, have managed to let themselves almost be wiped out entirely, and yes - it’s somehow all up to you to save things. No change there then… You start the game unconscious and desperately in need of help, and in the prelude (I‘d advise skipping it unless you‘ve never played the first game) you control a droid trying the get the ship you’re on, the Ebon Hawk, to safety and a place where you can recover. However the Sith aren’t the only people interested ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Another fine Star Wars game (461 words)

This is the sequel to Knights of the Old Republic and is once again produced by Obsidian and Lucas Arts. If you've played the 1st one you'll know more or less what to expect, in terms of gameplay and graphics this makes very few departures from the original. It's an rpg in the Star Wars universe with semi turn based combat. There are a couple of new features - there are now prestige classes of jedi/sith, and theres an influence system for party relations. This means that many of the decisions you make affect your relationship with party members you have with you at the time. And your level of influence with a given character dictates what conversation options ...  Read the complete review

PROLOGUE A long time ago …….far far away in the galaxy….. (Music of the dark side kicks in) …..”Aghhh ghhh ghhh” (Darth Vader breathes) ….there was Jedi’s and Sith’s who fought and fought and fought again …… (Lightsabers hitting each other)…..Hey wait a minute. What? Did I hear someone asking “Who are those lightsabers? And why do they hit each other...Vader? What’s wrong with his breath?” Man…do you live in a cave or something? Run Forest Run, video clubs are everywhere, go and see the trilogy and come back, may the force be with you. If you live in a cave and have a pc + internet connection (eh?), just download it, legal rights won’t affect you, after all ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic II - Sith Lords (PC): KOTOR II (342 words)

KOTOR II takes place five years after KOTOR which took place 4000 years prior to the films. The Sith have almost succeeded in wiping out the Jedi. Your character is a Jedi Knight who was exiled from the Jedi Order. You character seeks to reconnect to the force and destroy the Sith. As in KOTOR, you are aided by several companions. There are six planets for you to explore and as expected there is the option to be light or dark i.e. help the Republic restore peace or crush their efforts. The character choice is similar to that in KOTOR i.e. male or female, same skill selection, consular, guardian etc. Your battle party consists of three but there are many ...  Read the complete review

Not too politically correct or safety conscious, gameplay for all ages. Great graphics and comedy. Too short and too easy for the adult market.
