Advantages: Excellent Sound and Graphics

Disadvantages: I honestly can't find any.

I have been playing Starcraft for 6 months now, so I have an obligation to tell you about it.

Plot

You are the Terrans, Zerg, or Protoss. You try to survive in a universe full of war. You have many technologies to aid you. This is just the basic nature of the plot. There are many other themes as well: rebellion, politics, betrayal, friendship, just to name a few. Actually, there are three very real stories told by each race. The terrans survive a rebellion, the zerg try to conquer the universe, and the protoss fight past enemies only to be reunited as allies against the zerg. The deep plot gives the game a classic feel.

Graphics

The 3D graphics in Starcraft are amazing! Not only are you seeing excellent short movies in the game, but excellent detail in the game as well. You see every step on the bunkers and every feature on the surface.

Sound

The game also has excellent sound. My ears were amazed at the complex music that was being played. I could tell that a lot of effort had gone into the games music and sound effects.

Game Play

The control of the game is amazing! It is like Warcraft 2's controls but can hold more units. There is still that old drag and select deal and once you have selected your units, moving and attacking is easy: just right click on ground or an enemy structure.

replay value

Once your done with the single player game, you can have unlimited fun creating your own playable maps and using them in either single player or multiplayer.

Lock ups

I can't tell you about this since I have never had the game Lock up.

Conclusion

Basically, this game is best for people who love real-time strategy games.
