Back in the mid 90's when I was just a kid, I didn't have a games console. But some friends of my family did. I think I was 6 or so when they introduced me to the SNES and the game they were playing at that time was Street Fighter II. I was instantly hooked and I have to say it has to be the most enjoyable game I've ever played. Sure I got my exercise in fresh air but a typical day would involve me coming back from school to the house of the friends of my family and play in 4 or 5 hour stints with my little brother. One of the most famous videogames ever, I remember how Street Fighter II was often mentioned in my middle school. Since this was released in the early days of the SNES, it did much to help sell the machine. Indeed, the game was bundled with the machine for £129.99 and I’m sure many people must’ve bought a SNES to mainly play this game. It’s understandable. The graphics were attractive and solid, closely resembling those of the arcade machine. The audio was also pretty good, with some nice strong sound effects when characters are smacked and some good reproduction of the music from the arcade machine.
