Review on sunset riders on the SNES

Ever wanted to be a cowboy? Well here's your chance in a SNES classic. This game was made by Konami and released in 1993.

You can be one of 4 characters in this game Steve a blonde guy who uses a pistol. Billy another blonde guy with a pistol. Then the two other characters Bob a blonde guy with a shoot gun and Cormano who also uses a shoot gun also I prefer these characters because they use a shoot guy which shoots many bullets at once.

This game is a side scrolling shoot-em'up where you have to defeat a villain at the start of each stage you get to see a picture of the villain and you will get a bounty if you defeat the villain.
There are many other cowboys who you will have to kill to get further in the game. In some of the levels you will also ride horses, which is fun and makes this feel more like a cowboy game. The levels get progressively harder as do the enemies but most gamers will be able to complete this game a bit of practice.
The best thing about this game is you can play with a friend at the same time so you can combat against the villains together this is fun but the only negative is that you share the lives and continues so if one of you dies a lot this means less lives for the other player.

The levels themselves are basic in form with the usual SNES 2d graphics but they do look good with taverns and barrels and crates in the backgrounds as well as a train with cowboys shooting at you from the train.

How does it play?

The controls are quite simple one button for the fire one for the jumping the only hard thing to do is the double jump you do this by pressing up and the A button twice you use this to get up on ledges. The buttons are quite response and the movement is quite good maybe a little slow if any think.

This is a fun and enjoyable game that can be enjoyed by all of the family with descent graphics and good game-play the music fits the game well with and the speech is a good extra, which didn't expect.
