When bounty hunter Samus Aran becomes the unwitting surrogate mother to a Metroid larva she becomes attached and delivers it to a space station for research rather than destroying it. As she leaves she receives a distress signal from the station and arrives just as Space Pirate Ridley kidnaps the Metroid larva. Enraged, Samus travels to the Pirates planet and attempts to track down the larva. Super Metroid is easily the best Super Nintendo game of ever released. This is the third game of the Metroid series but despite the lack of sequels (Super Smash Bros. doesn't count) to the games they still receive a good cult following and Super Metroid is still one of favourite Super Nintendo games out there and remember there are 700 games available for this system alone. Super Metroid is a awesome 24meg (the first ever 24meg game for SNES by the way) game that plays a lot the original Metroid on NES rather than the sequel Metroid II, but this action/adventure game has more weapons, more moves, and far better looks. my brother recently purchased metroid fusion and within a short space of time i was playing it in the middle of the night without his knowledge. i absolutely loved this game. samus aran once again was a fantastic charcter and had some of the best moves in the book.she tries to exterminate the deadly virus . THE X PARASITE. - this rare specimen mutates itself into whoever it attacks and is pretty difficult to fight off. This just a damn good game. It will get you playing constantly for hours on end until you manage to complete it whithin a specified time so you can see the best ending. THis game is very addictive and has some of the best ideeas for weapons i have seen. I definately recommend getting it if you manage to find it and it would well be worth 10 quid. There are a maze of different stages on the same world and it can be very difficult if you dont manage to complete one bit of the game although it is still completable. This is the first game i ever got into enough to want to complete. the game is about a bucnh of pirates stealing an possibly dangerous (hint) energy giving life form Considering the limitations of the platform, the atmosphere is incredible. The intro explaining the first 2 games (which i had never heard of before) went some way towards this (black and white game footage and everything).
