Background Rugby League is often (wrongly in my view) seen as the poor cousin of Rugby Union. As such, whereas Rugby Union has had numerous games for various platforms, produced by the likes of Electronic Arts, Rugby League games have been few and far between. Indeed, the last half-decent effort I can remember is Wembley Rugby League for the Amiga back in the early 90s.
