Advantages: Superb graphics, brilliant gameplay, very realistic!

Disadvantages: AI is a bit clumsy

If you are looking for a relatively up to date motorcycling game then look no futher. Superbike 2000 now joins the Classic range of PC software on the market and the price if you look properly can be found to be £7 at some stores online and in the shops.

Although 1 year out of date 'Superbike 2000', the game still holds much potential with unbelievably realistic graphics, some of the best I have ever seen on a PC game either sporting or not.

The game contains all the drivers and motorcycles from the 2000 season including the new Aprillia team.

The game contains all the circuits you would expect to find during a Superbike race season including the Nurburgring and Kyalami. Superpole option allows you to take a one shot go at qualifying giving you one lap to qualify on the grid.

Motion captured physics in the game provide extremely realistic crashes which make you feel responsible for the drivers hick ups! The crashes are so real you will flinch when an accident occurs. When one does occur a race marshal at the side of the track will wave his flag indicating to the other drivers to slow down and not to pass. This whole idea has been carried out in great depth and detail.

Replays allow you to watch the whole race over and over again from a variety of different angles. Race commentary from TV's Keith Huewen adds to the realistic effects in this Superbike game.

On the downside, the Artificial Intelligence of some of the computer controlled opponents are pretty poor when you happen to fall off your bike on the racing line. They all plough into you and fall off themselves and dont really make an effort to avoid you.

Still, this is only a small downside to a great game.

At a cheap price of no more than £7 it is a brilliant bargain which will keep you entertained for at least a month or two.
