SWAT 4 (PC)

I've played a lot of first person shooters (FPS) but never really on the PC mainly because I dislike the controlls, but when a friend suggested this I gave it a go and found it to be among the greats. There is no story line as such although in careear mode each mission has a background but it doesn't need a story. You are in command of a swat team and get given various senarios where you have to get as many points possiable by securing weapons, resucing hostages etc. It sounds like you just do alot of boring routine things with no shooting but its not entirely like that, if you love watching SAWT teams in films you will love this. Many hours have been spent by myself and my friends sitting round many a table playing various different first person shooters but SWAT 4, for me is a highlight. I will stress that its not for everybody but over LAN or online the coop is seemless and the fact that you can shout "STOP OR I'LL BLOW YOUR F*****G HEAD OFF", in fact you get points taken off for NOT shouting that! How awesome is that idea? You must take the role fo a member of an elite swat team and just like all law enforcement, you are trying to save lives not end them. In game this first shooter game really gets you involved and active. You have to think a lot for the first few missions but then you get the hang of it and everything runs smoothly. The swat team you command gives more options for game play therefore making it more interesting. The music and in game sounds put you in the mood to go around throwing flash bangs and arresting villains. The graphics are really good for a game that was out some time ago and the overall playability.
