Advantages: really addictive
Disadvantages: really addictive
This pc game was around £15.00 when I bought it and it is well worth the money!
The game is rated with a 12+, according to the box this is because of the violence that is contained in the game, I think it is because its a war game and does obviously entail killing people etc.
The game I bought does say it it compatible with only windows XP but i've recently upgraded to windows vista and it installed and runs with no problems, which i'm very glad of as some of the other 'XP' games does run well.
To play the game you use a keyboard and mouse and controlling the game is very easy.
The game can be played online as well as offline. The online game is a tournament in which you compete with people worldwide trying to proceed through the ranks.
The Battle For The Middle Earth 2 is a strategy game in which you can create your own hero for online and skirmish battles, and you can also choose the skills they have.
The main differences between The Battle For The Middle Earth and The Battle For The Middle Earth 2 are:
On the first one, you wrre limited as to where you could build your base. Whereas, on the second game, you can build your base anywhere on the map.
On the first one, you couldn't create your own hero. On the second one you can create your own hero and choose their skills.
Also, the second game has a couple of new options, for example what 'race' you want to play and play against. Race being the type of creature eg. Elves and Humans.
On the second game there is 'War Of The Ring' mode which is a little different to the actual game, rather than your aim being to kill your opponent, you aim is to claim as much land as you can on the map.
Overall, this game is well worth the money and is very addictive, personally I would say it is more for the men but maybe some women will really enjoy it. You can also buy the expansion pack for this game which is called The Rise Of The Witch-King.
Summary: A really addictive game whichs is much better than the first game!

- 03/11/08 Have to agree with Clownfoot...I have not rated this review, but if you add more of your own opinion, tech specs needed, what you do or don't like etc, I will be happy to rate. |

- 03/11/08 So, about three-quarters of your review is a description borrowed from the EA games website? Which means your actual input is about 50 words? That doesn't make a games review in my mind... |
