Advantages: add stunts to movies, new sets

This game is an expansion pack for the Lionhead game The Movies. This pack adds the ability to put stunts into your films.

GAME PLAY:

The game is set up exactly the same as The Movies. You are in charge of a new movie studio in the 1920s and you have to; build up your studio. Hire stars and maintenance staff, and most important of all make movies.

This new expansion pack introduces the ability to add a variety of stunts to the movies. For this to happen successfully you have to employ stunt men. Actors that you already have can perform their own stunts but they are less likely to pull them off. If the do though it makes your film have a higher rating. Stunt men/women are employed from a stunt building. They then have to be trained on 3 different types of training apparatus. The more they train the better the stunts they can do, and the better the movie.

When your stunt men train or perform a stunt in a movie their condition decreases. I they perform a stunt successfully it only decreases a little and if the stunt is unsuccessful it decreases a lot. To bring your stunt men back to top condition you have to send them to the hospital for a short stay.

When you employ stunt men you are supposed to use the ones that look most like your stars. This is apparently supposed to make it easier for the stuntmen to successfully perform a stunt. I however have not really paid much attention to this and have been fine, but I have been using male stuntmen for male stars and visa versa.

The game doesn’t just add stunts, it also adds new effects. There are a few new sets and two are; green screen and blue screen. This gives you the ability to make movies more like their real counterparts!

This is good expansion pack and it adds a lot of new stuff to keep people occupied. It also adds a completely new way of playing, as if you want to you can focus entirely on adding stunts to your films, rather than making different types of films.

Whatever you want to do with this game it is a great addition.

Summary: If you have the movies, this is a must buy.
