“ Genre: Simulation - Life / Video Game for Windows XP / ESRB Rating: Rating Pending / Release Date: 2008-04-18 / Published by Electronic Arts „
I bought this Sims 2 add on pack a while ago to enhance my Sims gaming. This is pretty much the only computer game I actually play and even after years of use I never get bored of it. I do tend to download a lot of clothing and hairstyles for it but don't tend to download furniture so add on packs like this one are great for me.
I bought mine from Amazon as they tend to be pretty cheap on there. I don't have an ebay account but seemingly you can get them for basically nothing on there too, so it is worth checking out if you have one.
- Kitchen -
There are loads of extra kitchen bits available with this add on pack. This includes light fixtures, rugs, fridges, sinks, cabinets, microwaves, dishwashers etc. Designing a kitchen is one of my favourite things to do as it can set the tone for the type of house you are furnishing. Things like cabinets are available in multiple finishes which makes then super versatile. As I like to create a whole neighbourhood of houses it is nice to have a wide selection of things available.
- Bathroom -
Prior to owning this expansion there really weren't that many bathroom items to use which meant so many of my bathrooms ended up looking the same. This add on gives you loads of additional items to create a world of different bathrooms. This includes toilets, sinks, bath tubs, showers, mirrors, towel rails etc.
- Clothes -
There are some additional clothes that come with this set too, I'm guessing because they didn't have enough ideas to make 60 items for bathroom and kitchens. The clothes are a mixture of everyday and bed clothes. I like most of the ones available in this set, and it's nice to have a little added choice.
- Hair -
For some reason to go with your new kitchens and bathrooms they have provided you with new hairs. These include a towel wrap (makes sense for bathrooms) and then a few hairstyles with hair bands and scarves on them. These are nice to have though not really expected with this kind of add on pack.
- Price -
You can get this pack for around £5 used and then for around £10 new from Amazon. This is probably on the more expensive side for one of these add on packs but I do really like the content, I just wish they've made all 60 items for bathroom and kitchen.
Overall, a good add on pack but a little pricey.
The Sims 2: Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff
Sims 2 is all about creating so-called sims, which you can control. You control their lives in making friends, getting into a relationship and having a career. This is the same as the first part of this game. But the biggest changes were nevertheless that Sims could be really become old and the woman really pregnant. Back to Part 1 they maintained the same age and people could only have children, after much together in a romantic way interacted (kissing and hugging). The woman was therefore not pregnant, but the phone rang asking if you wanted a child. Not realistic. In Part 2, your Sims can actually get pregnant after they have gone to bed together and allows your baby to grow up to an elderly person and even death.
Sims 2: Kitchen & Bath Accessories
This expansion is aimed at changing / improving the most used rooms in your house, namely the kitchen and bathroom. You can completely transform the two rooms into what you want, but it comes down to the fact that you can turn it into a modern or even romantic kitchen and bathroom. So you get beautiful new sinks, countertops and new appliances. A beautiful stylish new refrigerator? A new grill? It's possible with this expansion pack. have new wallpaper, but also a sink.
You can decorate the bathroom with warmer colours and you'll get new ceiling lights, mirrors and towel rack as new items and designer clothes. You get new tiles and more. Everything can be found in the normal buy menu, where you can find other items. The most funny is that your sims can now dress to their new kitchen and bathroom with the new clothes are received.
Actually I think this expansion is not so surprising, because your options in terms of setting up your kitchen and bathrooms are just as limited. As such, you had a good choice in the number of kitchen cabinets, but now you have many options in terms of ordinary coffee maker and refrigerator. It brightens up the house. But like the other stuff expansions I don't think this pack is really worth the ten pounds they ask. It's great to change your kitchen but its only fun for five minutes and that's all really. For this reason, two stars.
