The Sims 2: Nightlife (PC): Sims 2 Nightlife (700 words)

The Sims 2 Nightlife is the second expansion pack for The Sims 2 game released in 2005. These expansion packs are almost the same that got released for the Sims 1 and in my opinion you should have added these to the game itself instead making them available as expansions packs. Nightlife is a relatively large expansion and focuses on the social aspect of the sims. With this expansion pack it gives your Sims the opportunity to go to new locations including restaurants and goes a step further. Of course you get a lot of new items (125) and you can go on a date. The nice thing is that you can give a gift or a hate letter at the house of the date, depending of ...  Read the complete review

Very good expansion pack (481 words)

Rating:

This Expansion Pack is excellent for several reasons. The least of them is definitely not being that it adds a sub-hood to the Sims neighrbourhood you play in, called "downtown". The premise of this EP is that your sims cannot only now go on dates but they can go out and have fun when they go downtown as well. There are several different premade buildings downtown that provide all sorts of different entertainment, from art museum to dodgy looking nightclubs. Your sims can live downtown and make the loading time when you're sending them off to one of the clubs faster. This expansion pack also adds the very coveted and asked for personal ...  Read the complete review

The Sims 2: Nightlife (PC): 5* Expansion Pack. (291 words)

The Sims 2 Nightlife expansion pack is one of the best! It gives you alot of new things including clothes, furniture, shopping items, cars and much more. You can create your own shopping center, bowling ally, resturants and lots more things which i can't remember now, which is good fun and you can now get mobiles, MP3's and game consoles. This is one of my favourite expansion packs, the only disadvantage is that on the sims aspiration meter they like to go out into the new community lot which can sometimes take a long time to load (depending on your computer) and they get tired easiley so when you get them home they are in a bad-ish mood. But you can ...  Read the complete review

Nightlife? A loading time flop. (159 words)
by - written on 05/11/08 (Useful, 26 readings)
Rating:

The Sims 2 is a life simulation game by Maxis, and the Sims 2:nightlife is just an expansion pack to that. It's basically about getting your Sims to go out at night and have a fun time, be that with friends or a lady partner. There are also a number of significant new objects in this game, most of them superbly animated, with high resolution textures. The sound hasn't changed, but you don't really expect it to. The problem is, however, that to go to this night place, you have to wait for about 15 minutes of loading time. Yup, as per usual, to actually go anywhere, you have to put up with this annoying 'feature'. I don't think its really worth the ...  Read the complete review

The Sims 2: Nightlife (PC): Dating for dummies - sims 2 style! (206 words)

I love all things Sims 2 and the thought of an expansion pack which allows you to get your sims out and dating just sounded like a great way to spend a staurday night in! As I am in a long term realtionship sims 2 flirting is all I get now so it gave me a chance to brush up on my "pulling skills"! What a gem of a game....I hardley notice the fact I had been playing for 5 hours! Only the hand cramp setting in made me stop for a while! You get the chance to let your sims ask outher sims out on a date to a club, bowling alley, restraunt etc and then they have an allocated set of time to increase the other sims enjoyability by flirting, talking, kissing, ...  Read the complete review
