The Sims 2 is one of the best games made in the history of games, it is very addictive and it is a game about something that everybody wants to do, control other people, in other words plays as god. You can either pick an existing family or make your own family; I prefer making my own family which can be very entertaining and take more than you would think, the most important part i think is making your house, to do this you must get a job and keep the money rolling in and no the other way around. You can get promoted usually depending on your mood when you go to work and your skills. You also have to run the lives of your family which includes feeding them, keeping them clean, well entertain and socialised with other Sims.

If you compare it with the Sims 1 it as amazingly better graphics and has many more expansion packs which are: the Sims 2 University, you can create your own university and your own house which can either rent a house in the university area or stay in one or the dorms provided, you have to complete the university years passing exams and doing term papers in time otherwise you're in trouble... The Sims 2 Pets, a new member of the family has arrived, your own cat, dog or other animal and you have to look after it like another child of the family, this expansion pack is very fun and entertaining and not only do you have to pay for objects for your pet you can even send it to work to help a bit, you can not directly control these animals but their owner has all the responsibility of training it and educating it in a appropriate way. The Sims 2 Bon Voyage, everyone needs a rest, well now your Sims do too, know you can take them either to a tropical destination, a mountain resort or just to take a break in the country with wildlife all around. These are only a few of the many great expansion packs that have been made.

Sometimes this game can be very slow loading because of the expansion packs but it also depends on your computer. The requirements that your computer needs to run this game are:
* 800 MHz processor
* 256 MB RAM if Windows XP
* 128 MB RAM if Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows 2000
* At least 3.5 gigs of free hard drive space
But I highly recommend you have a much more powerful computer if you want to run the game well as it can be very tiring having to wait for it to load.

Summary: The Sims 2 is a great game that everyone would enjoy.
