Advantages: You are in control of their lives - the possibilities are almost endless, and the graphics are great

Disadvantages: Can become addictive

I've got to say this is one of the best games I have ever bought!
I bought the original Sims when that first came out, and found that great, but this is even better! There is so much more you can do.
One of the major advantages is that your Sims can now age, going from baby, to elderly person. Like in Sims 1 they go to school, go to work, earn money, have relationships, and can now customise their furniture.
You can buid their houses, or use pre-designed ones, create whole new neighbourhoods, and
Your whole aim is to guide them through the ups and downs of life, and try your best to satisfy their needs. They even have life-time goals, which you can work towards if you wish. YOU are in control. They have wants and fears too, and they each have different personalitites.
You can create and personalise yours sims, make them have children, make then happy, make them sad, make them fall in love, make them argue, make them work, make them overweight, keep them fit - or whatever you want.
They can build skills, work towards promotion - almost anything!
The only disadvantage, if you count it as one, is that it can become addictive. But other than that, it's great!

Summary: One of the best games I ever bought - I love it! There is so many things you can do.
