Advantages: It's a whole new game in a expansion pack!
Disadvantages: It's addictive!
As an lover of all things 'Sims' i waited for The Sims 2 with much anticipation, even more so while I waited for The Sims University expansion pack. This game is unlike any of the previous expansions from the original Sims and applied directly to me as University is something I am looking into myself at the moment.
The game adds a whole new level to The Sims, it creates a whole new 'age group' for young adults. This is something I had waited for, an age inbetween a child and an adult! These young adults have more possibilities open to them through University, and so you can have so much more fun with them! It's like living as an adult Sim-but with less of the worry and stress!
The journey through Univertsity is an interesting one, with over 125 new items, there is so much more for your Sims to experience. I love the way as players, we can experience a taste of the university life through this game! You can watch them work, study and go to their jobs in college Town! It's great fun! My favorite new object is the Home Plastic Surgery Kit or The Chocolate Making Machine! Things like these just didn't appear in the orinigal Sims!
Although it can be tricky at times to force your Sims to make it through the duration of University, it's well worth it because of all the skills they have built up to get them through the learning process. It means they go into good jobs, very quickly and you don't have to spend as much time building things like charisma, because it's already done.
This game is great for fans, and also for new users. If you are a fan like me, this game does not let you down in the slightest, it is probably the best expansion pack so far! If you are new to The Sims, this game will have you addicted (in a good way!) within the hour!
Summary: The ability to make a whole new genre of Sims!
