Advantages: new life stage, zombies! new items and interactions

Disadvantages: None I can think of

Although I don't own this expansion pack for my sims 2 game, I have played it a lot on my friends computer. This is a big expansion pack that adds a whole new neighbourhood, the college neighbourhood to the the game. On the sims 2 deluxe there is an icon for this neighbourhood although it doesn't load unless you have this expansion pack.

The main thing this pack allows sims to do is go to college - teenage sims can go to college where they become young adults, a new stage of life introduced to the game with this pack. This life stage only happens to sims going to college though, other sims just become adults. Once you send a teenager to college, you can go to the college neighbourhood to control them where they progress through 4 years of study. It's a good way to make sims from different families get to know each other as you can move them into halls together. Students attend classes and get assignments to do. This pack also introduces sims lifetime wants, which fill up a sims aspiration meter if they fulfill them. There is also new interactions for sims in this expansion pack including pranks and pillow fights which adds to the whole fun of the sims 2. As well as this there are new career awards for sims who graduate from college - the pack introduces new career paths each with their own rewards depending on how much a sim earns from them. For example, earning more than 8513 simoleons in the paranormal career will resurrect the sim after they die. Another new feature of this pack is Zombies, who don't age and have a blue skin tone. It also adds some songs recorded in simlish - the language of sims.

Overall, there's a lot of brilliant new features in this expansion pack and it's definitely worth buying although, unlike Nightlife, I wouldn't say it's essential to enjoying the Sims 2 fully. I've noticed that some of the features it adds are actually already available on the sims 2 deluxe. It does make the game more interesting as there's more ways to make sims interact, and you can see what they turn out like as young adults. I've never played far enough to get to try the new careers and rewards but this sounds like a great feature since it's the only way to bring sims back from the dead (there aren't even cheats to do that!)

I've seen it available on play.com for £14.99 which is a great price, especially when you consider the prices of the Stuff packs. So far this is one of the best expansion packs for the game, however having too many packs on one computer will cause the game not to run properly so if you've already got a few before getting this, then be careful you don't lose all your progress asc it does cause you to have to uninstall the game, which did happen to my friend.

Summary: well worth buying if you don't already own many other packs
