Advantages: New objects/career rewards
Disadvantages: Dull, tedious, not worth the money
This is the first expansion pack brought out by EA Games for The Sims 2 and is probably the most boring of the lot.
If you aren't familiar with the concept of the game, then it's a virtual game where you can create your own families and control them through their day to day tasks (e.g. relationships, jobs, family life etc) until death, whilst simultaneously keeping their wants and needs up. The expansion pack adds a whole new generation to the game (young adults) which is only accessible when the students are in university, which is situated in a totally different neighbourhood. By sending your sims to university, you are enabling them to get a degree in a specialist subject, however, this process is lengthy and incredibly tedious. I bought this game when it was first released and have only ever sent 3 sims to get a degree, as you don't really gain much from it, besides skipping a few levels on the job promotion ladder and having a few more job options open.
The new neighbourhood features; dorms where your sim can live with other sims; community lots, which include a library, bar, coffee house - where sims can earn some money; and greek houses.
The game comes with a few new objects and career rewards such as, a drum kit, guitar, pool table and various other objects that you can most definitely live without.
Overall, I don't think this game is worth the money unless you are willing to spend ages sending each individual sim to college, to complete millions of assignments/essays for what seems like nothing.
Summary: Disappointing, boring and a general let down.
