Advantages: A new idea, adds some fun gameplay mechanics in.

Disadvantages: Gets boring quickly, the loading times are huge.

The Sims 2 is a life simulation game, created by Maxis, and like the Sims 1, it lets you take a Sim through childhood, and all the way up to an elder.
The Sims 2 university adds to that by adding a whole you stage to the teens life.
Once you have a Sim at that age, you can enrol them in the university of your choice, (1 of 3) or create your own, and take them through 4 years of college life, each with 2 terms.
The game hasn't improved upon the graphics or sound, but it has added a whole new direction of gameplay. However, the game gets tedious quite quickly, as you have to keep doing the same things to get good grades.
There are places outside of your dorm room, but to go there you have to put up with a long loading time, and that dissuaded me enough to only do it twice in the game.
Overall, its a good game, but it gets boring quickly.

Summary: It's a good idea, and if you're a sims fan, worth getting.
