70s 80s & 90s stuff was the 8th Stuff pack released for the sms 3 and was released in January 2013 so was around 18 months old at the time of writing this review, the theme is quite obvious from the title and is based around 70s, 80s & 90s objects and outfits, the sections are :
The Groovy 70s : Including bell-bottoms and catsuits , ziggy stardust makeup, minimalist furniture and disco balls.
The Awsome 80s : Funky fame style legwarmers, big hair and shoulder pads. Arcade games and boom boxes.
The Grungy 90s :Ripped jeans, boho baggy skirts, messy hair and distressed furniture.
The pack also ones with three new radio stations to go with each time period (not that I'm sure I agree with the choices)
70'S - Disco
80s - Rap
90s - Rock
The stuff included in this pack consist of :
12 new hairstyles
30 new items of clothing
5 new make up looks
1 new facial hair style
31 new objects
The most noticeable thing about this list is the distinct lack of shoes or any accessories, this was a major let down of the pack, how can you dress up your sim in full on 80s spandex and not have the right accessories to go with it, no big boots to go with the grungy wear etc it just doesn't make sense.
Also although there is a good amount of new outfits there really is nowhere near enough objects, 31 objects between three themes is just ridiculous considering it advertises as allowing you to deck your house out in 70s disco fashion etc. Having a 70s living room an 80s Games room and a modern everything else is just a bit rubbish, there really s only 3 items for the 90s, a distressed chair a table and a tv cabinet, hardly enough to deck a house out.
I love the 70s living room furniture in this pack and the 80s spandex and legwarmers are a lot of fun, that combined with the ziggy stardust make-up is what bumped my rating up t 3* otherwise it would have been a poor 2* and another stuff pack that leaves you feeling mighty ripped off.
Prices seem to vary a lot on this one and are available from £9-£16, I think £9 is closer to an acceptable price but still probably to much.
