Advantages: Being able to scroll accross the page straight to town

Disadvantages: My boyfriend getting hold of the game and creating a sim that got all my sims pregnant

The sims 3 is much different from the others, but also exactly the same. I'll tell you why now.
Create a sim is almost the same, apart from you can customise the pattern and colour of all the clothes! Plus you have a colour wheel for the hair so you can get exactly the right tone, having the option to edit highlights, roots, tips, and the general base colour.
First of all, when playing your sims there is a big noticable new feature... you don't have to load the town! You can go where you want, when you want! Even ring other houses doorbells to visit a neighbours house. You have lots of freedom.
You also have objectives which help give the game purpose, and an aim. But if you enjoyed the original style where you like to do your own thing, it's very easy to carry on without 'fuffilling your sims desires'.
There are lots of new places to go and visit, like the beach (which isn't all that brilliant but you can fish!) and the gym, which has some funny characters hanging around.
I find I choose the excitable trait for my sims the most, it's fun to watch... and what traits you choose actually really effects them while playing the game. You can choose similar traits to yourself or make a really scarily happy/sad/weird sim. These aren't the sims that we started out with years ago, that had to have exactly one square to walk on, all had pretty much the same personality, and had absoloutly no point to it, this is The Sims 3, and if you like having a joke around with peoples lives, its all good!

Summary: Light hearted fun
