Advantages: less micro management, more room for creative scope and imagination

Disadvantages: rubbish hairstyles....and the expansion packs(when inevitably released)

Well where do I start with the sims 3? I am a massive fan of games like this others being the zoo tycoon sets and theme park etc. I must say this game is so addictive I played for 3 solid days after first buying!
If you liked the other Sims games then you will not be dissapointed. The depth of characters is so much better than older versions as you get to choose traits for your sims which means that each combination of traits gives you a completly original lifetime wish and daily targets and achievments. This means that with each Sim you create the amount of game play time is literally endless. Your Sims are now more independant which means that you don't have to spend loads of time making them go to the toilet/shower etc. It is also alot harder to maintain relationships with sims so you can't just repeatdly click the same type of interaction I find this a really positive improvement. Furthermore, it is more difficult to 'woohoo' with prospective partners...but fear not when trying for a baby you can use lifetime achievment points to have fertility treatment to increase your chances of conception! Ha, writing this seems very surreal! Seriously though it's worth spending the £££s on this game.
I'm not quite sure whether I will be saying the same about the expansion packs when released. EA do tend to release loads and that is one thing that will get your back up about this game, as you tend to want everything available. As I said before it is very addictive. Enjoy!
