Advantages: better graphics

Disadvantages: sims 2 is still better

I have all the sims 2 games, and love them, and I could sit there for hours deleting the pool ladder and making them wet themselves. But I have had a few problems with sims 3. Firstly, it would not run on my laptop unlike sims 2. So I had to put it on the home PC, Which means I don't get to play it much. But when I do, I thoroughly enjoy it. It allows you the freedom that you weren't given in the previous games. The graphics and facial features are better even though the overall game is the same. You can visit neighbors, have babies in hospital, go to work and the game play is a bit more realistic. The sim designer does leave your sim a little bland on looks, though there is so much more range to customise your sims personality which almost makes up for this. It can be a bit slow on fast forward mode, so it can get a little tedious waiting for you sim to wake up.
Overall though the game is good, although I think I still prefer the second one. Especially as I have all the add ons.
