Advantages: Customisable content
Disadvantages: Speed bugs which have now been fixed by patch.
As a fan of the Sims series ever since the Sims 1 came out (must be nearly 10 years ago now I come to think of it!), as soon as this was announced I knew it was a foregone conclusion that I would be getting it. My only concern was whether my laptop would run it! After checking the specifications, I needn't have worried as I was OK.
The installation process was nail biting to say the least, I had to keep going away and checking to see if it has finished yet!
The way this game is different from the Sims 1 and 2 is that you are playing a neighbourhood which all ages at the same time (this option can be disabled so your sims do not age). The great thing about this is that if your teens start dating a friend, this sim will also grow up into an adult and they can get married!
What is also great about this is that the settings are very adjustable so if you have a slower end PC, you can adjust the graphics to be a little less smooth, and turn off things like shadows and reflections
The objects within the game are fully customisable, you can change the textures, patterns, colour, the possibilities are limitless!
The only thing that disappointed me was that I (along with many others) had problems when trying to play in full speed, the game wasn't speeding up very much. Luckily this was a known bug to the makers and there was a patch realased which fixed this.
If you are a fan of any of the previous sims games, I would recommend this game to you!
Summary: Great game for fans of the Sims series
