Advantages: hours (and hours) of addictive fun
Disadvantages: facebook will feel neglected
lots of people think the sims games are for girls...they're not but men & women play it differently.
This is a greatly addictive game, and unlike war or quest games it doesn't have a set story or an ending; However like some quest or RPG games you spend as long as you like exploring - whether it's the map & town, create a sim or building, decorating and furnishing your house(s). When you do decide to 'play' with your sims you are often engrossed with their language, behaviour but also with so many of them that although it's sad when your creation 'dies' you have their offspring to play with, which is where your God complex comes in as after all if you created the parent(s) sim(s) surely the child they created is really your creation?
The thing is, this is addictive; while one sim family is asleep off you potter to another house and back and again, before you know it you're forgetting to prepare lunch (mac cheese) eat lunch (mac cheese) wash dishes & wondering if you should pause when you go to the loo or let luck & chance rule your universe for a few minutes? when you come back a row or relationship could have been created...
once you start you wont stop....
Summary: on pc it's all about the sims
