The Sims 3 (PC)
Advantages: Able to customise a lot
Disadvantages: Boring after a while
As a sims fan, i was so excited when the sims 3 came out, and i was not dissapointed when i initially purchased the game. After playing for a few days, the game became more boring.. unlike the other sims games you are constantly bombarded with new opportunities and tasks which can make the game more interesting and fun, but in the end the opportunities are all very similar and do not have the same effect.
If you are a sims player who mostly enjoys creating sims and building houses, this game is perfect. Creating a sim has come on leaps and bounds from the previous games, you can customise almost anything. When i purchased the game i registered it online and was given 1000 points with which i could purchase new items on the sims 3 store on the internet and i purchased many hairstyles, shoes and items of clothing.
When building the houses there are little restrictions of how you want your house. Now, unlike the sims 2 you can build basements, which is something i really enjoy having as an option. You are able to customise almost every fabric and texture of evey item so you can build very personalised homes. There are some very nice pre-built homes you can use aswell as there being many decorative items and you can customise the whole town if you want.
On the other hand, i found that after a while the game became boring, and unless your sims are getting killed by meteorites and turned into ghosts it is just like mundane working life itself as you have to wait a long time for sims sleeping and at work.
Summary: Good purchase if you want to build or create sims
