Advantages: Loads of things to do, improvements on Sims 3

Disadvantages: None

I have played the Sims games from the first edition and am pretty much a Sims addict, and this is by far the best one. Although the Sims 2 had the most expansion packs, the Sims 3 still have expansions coming out such as the Sims World Adventures and Sims 3 Careers. With the new game, you also get the EA game launcher, which lets you download content from the Sims 3 website to add to your game.

It is rated at 12 plus, and this is due to the fact that you can make your sims have relationships with each other which can lead to certain things and make them fight if they become arch enemies to! It is a pretty simple game to get the hang of, and all it requires is you to click your mouse to guide your Sims to do the different tasks.

For those who have not played previous Sims games, it basically revolves around your characters who you can control and do tasks. You have to keep your Sim happy otherwise it will refuse to do things, or unfortunately die. This has been basically all you do in the two previous games except without the new features Sims 3 has to offer. Now there is the Lifetime Wish, which is a great addition as you have something other than building up your Sims skills to acheive and the fact that you earn points to spend on interesting features for your Sim when they're happy, keeps you perservering to keep their mood up high. There is not only the option to play as a single Sim though, as there is still the ability to be 2 friends or a family of up to 8.

Unlike in the first 2 games, all your characters do not have to live in one town, as you are able to make new saves and have different looking cities. This has been a really helpful feature as it's meant that both my mum and sister can play on the same copy without us having to worry about ruining each others towns or families!

The character customisation has improved since the other two games, and everything is much more detailed and clearer, with much more options to pick from. You still have the same options as you did in the previous games, except now in all the different tabs e.g face, body, there are more options for you to add and customise to make your perfect Sims character! In the Sims 3, you now also have the ability to choose a lifetime wish for your Sim to acheive, and this can sometimes be really difficult or really easy depending on the traits you picked for your Sim.

The build option for houses has always been my favourite aspect, as due to the fact house design is one of my guilty pleasures, the Sims 3 let's me create my perfect houses! Also, if your feeling mad its always fun to make a really ugly house and then destroy it. This option has also been improved since the previous games, as you have much more customising options with more things like wallpapers and carpets.

The town has now expanded, to allow you not only to visit your neighbours and friends but to see where you work, do grocery shopping, see a concert, hang out at a park or relax in a library. It definitely has added more to the game as there is so much more to do, that you never get bored and can visit so many different places. It can be difficult to remember what each of the little places are but eventually it becomes easier. The bonus of this is that now you don't have to pay for all the expensive equipment to boost up your skills e.g. books or gym equipment, as now it is included in virtually all of the new buildings!

There is so much to do in this game it is pretty much destined to keep you busy for hours and months. I never get bored of it as there is always something different to do on the game as I can play various families, trying to make their houses as good or bad as I can. It's a great game to get rid of stress as it can really take your mind out of things as you just get to immerse yourself inside this little Sim Village. It is a perfect time management game.

Summary: Great sims game that keeps you entertained for hours
