the sims hot date is an expansion pack for the sims where you can go on dates downtown have more skins and objects.
you should only get this if you have the first sims.
this gives you quicker house building quicker loading and your sims who love each other actually properly get married then they go in a resturant every week.
you can buy new lots downtown but obviously they cost more money.
this expansion pack is needed if you actually want to see your sims get married and if you actually want your sims to be able to go downtown
