Advantages: Fantastic new stuff
Disadvantages: None
This program is an add-on for the Maxis game 'The Sims' (if you didn't already know that). This program can only be used if you already installed 'The Sims'.If you don't already have it I saw an offer in Game to buy both for £30. I think they're normally £20 each. Anyway, this add on pack is fantastic!! It gives you new furniture, decorations, non playable characters as well as loads of other stuff. The best feature of this add on pack has to be the new non playable characters. Theres a Genie which grants you one wish a day, the Grim Reaper which you see only when someones died (you can choose whether to try and save the life of you doomed Sim with a little pleading) as well as other characters. When I first bought 'The Sims', I'd spend all my spare time playing it. I was totally hooked. Most days I was playing for about 5 hours a day at least. Before Livin Large came out I was probably playing for less than 5 hours a week. But since I installed 'Livin Large', my passion for all things sims has been re-awakened and I'm just as hooked as ever. Also featured on the program are new career paths. Instead of the old career paths, this makes another five career paths available. The new objects are fantastic. My favourite would have to be the Science kit. It helps you to gain personality points as well as improving your logic. And you can make some really useful potions with it that can make you feel fantastic, like crap or even make someone fall in love with you!! One of the things that was boring me about 'The sims' was the doors, windows and stairs (yes I know, I'm weird). They were just so boring. With 'Livin Large' you get new doors, windows and staircases. They're really cool too. Sliding doors, bubble shaped windows, 'floating' stairs',all the new stuff is fab.

- 05/05/01 when you tire of this, there's the 'Sims House Party' pack to keep you going until Simsville is released (I'm not a nerd, honest!). |
