Advantages: Fun, Highly Addictive, Life like, "Take the role of God".

Disadvantages: Can get boring. But leave it for a week and you'll be back!

......well "Die Sims" means "The Sims" its just in German. I thought it was a joke til i realised it was in German.

Anyway this game is not like anything I've seen before, even Theme Hospital doesnt come close. You control peoples lives how you like, or you can sit and watch them do what they like, its up to you. You design the houses that your Sim Family lives in, at a price. You have whatever wall paper you want, whatever flooring you want, how big the yard is, how big the downstairs loo is, you decide. You have to make your Sims work to earn just like us. There are a range of jobs to search for, either in the paper or on the internet, but you have to have money before you start buying computers. You can get burgled, have fires, have babies, and get married. WOW thats just the beginning.
Your Sims Dance, Flirt, Kiss, get Angry, go to the loo (sometimes on the kitchen floor) hug, slap, talk (not in english) sing, and almost everything that us humans do. Its like a soap but miles better because your the director.

The graphics are stunning. The sound is good, i like the music from the stereo.
You can now get the special package which includes "The Sims" and the addon "Livin' it large" for around £40.

THE DOWNSIDE!!! (sorry no game is Perfect)
You do need a High-end PC to play this game with smoothness throughout. I had a 300Mhz (AMD) 128MB and a good 3DAccelerator and that was not enough, it was the processing power that let me down. Now with my 650Mhz there is a slight jaggyness but it is very smooth.
The Game is addictable until a certain point but after a week or two of not using the game you will back at it for days and weeks.

I highly Recommend this game to all ages, i know 30 year olds playing this game!!
