I first played this a few years back and I don't see how anyone manages to play it for a long time. It's initially entertaining but this entertainment dwindles after an hour, after that point I've really no idea how anyone can put up with something so monotonous.

You take over a hospital and your aim is to run it successfully so it is profitable, healing most if not all of the patients and is in possession of the latest equipment. Eventually your hospital is reviewed and if you did a good enough job you'll move on to a new one at which your aim will be exactly the same as before. The AI are unbelievably poor and never seem to do what you've directed them to do which will get on your nerves very quickly.

Whilst the graphics were good at the time of release they're certainly not now. Nothing about this game stands out and to be quite honest although the idea may appeal to you, you'll get bored very, very quickly. Don't waste your money on it.
