Advantages: Seriously addictive!

Disadvantages: Frustrating having to start all over agian on new levels

Theme Hospital is a wonderfully addictive game, yet I do sometimes wonder how it keeps my attention for so long.

The aim of the game is that you are a hospital manager and you have to build up the most successful hospital in the area (quite an American idea). You have to do everything from the sizing and positioning of rooms, to hiring staff and making sure your patients are happy.

You buy more land when you run out of space and you carry on building. As you instruct your hospital to do more research more and more diagnosis and treatment room become available for you to build.

You are subject to league tables (oh how UK hospitals sigh!) as to how well you're performing against your competitors. If you do really well you'll be offered a more prestigious position at a new hospital (basically you start again at a new hospital but the constraints for you to move up another 'level' are harder).

As I say I dont know how this games keeps my attention for so long, it can be a bit frustrating that you have set up a fab hospital but then you're offered a new job and to move up a level. You dont have to accept but there is only so much land that you can buy within a level so you can get to a point where your hospital cant get any bigger or better.

There are also cheats aglore on the internet for this too. Simple to enter and use. If you want to get to the last level in a hurry then this is the best way!

Try and get onto the bonus rat shooting level though its such a good stress reliever! They're quick though so its good practice on the mouse (no pun intended!)

If you have kids of a certain age they will find that installing the toilets are very amusing :o)

Summary: A good family fun game suitable for all ages.
